Keeping it Cool

I love this photo of a Detroit resident keeping herself and  her cute little doggie cool, courtesy of the Detroit News. Umbrella's do more than just protect one from the rain.

  2. That is a great picture. We've been using umbrellas for rain lately. I can't imagine what it must be like with all that heat.

  4. I used to carry an umbrella in my bag when I was a student. A really useful thing to have here as when it is not raining, the sun is really hot. I hope you will have some rain soon. Have a wonderful day and week!

  7. Hi Vetsy! Up here the scooters have built in covers - they can zip themselves right in there! Keeps them cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter I guess.

  9. My daughter bought a frilly pink parasol and actually carried it around last summer. It is a good way to beat the heat.
Good pic! She looks happy despite the heat.
